The speaker for the September Georgia Chattahoochee APMP chapter dinner meeting will be Dan Woodard, owner of the Quantum Consulting Firm. Dan improves performance and gets results from the court room to the board room. His broad experience in business, consulting and as a trial lawyer provides a unique perspective for proposal professionals in challenging leadership situations. Dan will discuss general concepts that can be applied to common problems proposal professionals face in managing a team for effectiveness, including:
1. Setting guidelines and boundaries for the team
2. The consequences of low accountability and failure to follow through
3. Common problems and solutions
4. Adopting characteristics and behaviors of efficient and effective leaders
5. Lessons learned, tips, and strategies.
Meeting Details
This APMP dinner meeting will be held at the Crowne Plaza Powers Ferry, located just inside I-285 in the northwest part of Atlanta, at the intersection of I-285 and New Northside Drive/Powers Ferry Road. Join us around 6:00 p.m. ET for networking with fellow proposal professionals and enjoy a buffet dinner served around 6:45 p.m. The dinner entrée is beef tender tips and broccoli stir fry with cellophane noodles accompanied by ginger and garlic-marinated veggies on a bed of salad. The program and door prize drawings will follow, and the meeting will adjourn at 9:00 p.m.

Southern Proposal Accents Conference
The 14th Annual Southern Proposal Accents Conference (SPAC) is scheduled for Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Cobb Galleria Conference Centre. The SPAC will again be co-hosted by the Georgia Chattahoochee, Carolina, and Florida Sunshine APMP chapters. The theme for this year’s SPAC is “Proposal Jukebox: Don’t Just Spin It… Rock It!!!”
