How long have you been a proposal manager/specialist/writer?

Joel Conway:  I’ve been a technical writer since 1983.  I’ve been a proposal writer since August.

How did you become involved
 with proposals?

Joel Conway:  I was offered the job.

Do you work in a “corporate office” or “home office” environment? 

Joel Conway:  Corporate office

What do you like best about working in your current environment? 

Joel Conway:  Free coffee and being 6 miles from home.

What do you like least?

Joel Conway:  Sitting by the door to the elevator.

APMP Question.
What do you feel is the most challenging aspect of your job?

Joel Conway:  I’m the only one on my team in Georgia.  The rest are in Milwaukee and Indianapolis.

Joel Conway:  This past Wednesday, October 26.

What is your method for successfully working with your proposal teams?

Joel Conway:  I’m still working that out.  I came on board at the end of two proposals and haven’t done much yet.
