April:  2 years

Question:  How did you become involved with proposals?

April:  There was a need within our company and a colleague recommended that I research the position.

Question:  Do you work in a “corporate office” or “home office” environment? 

April:  Home office environment

Question:  What do you like best about working in your current environment? 

April:  Although there are demanding hours related to proposal work, my current “work from home” environment allows me the flexibility to assist with the balance my business and personal life.

Question:  What do you like least?

April:  It feels like I never leave work!

Question:  What do you feel is the most challenging aspect of your job?

April:  Working with proposal teams that have the demanding commitment to full-time client work in addition to the demands of fulfilling the commitments and milestones of the proposal work.

Question:  What shortcuts or helpful best practices about working with proposal teams could you share?

April:  Obtain buy-in and commitment to the proposal schedule on day 1!

Question:  Why did you join APMP?

April:  To strengthen my proposal skills and stay informed about best practices in the industry.

Question:  What is your method for successfully working with your proposal teams?

April:  COMMUNICATION! COMMUNICATION! COMMUNICATION!
