How long have you been a proposal manager/specialist/writer?

Bill Funke has been involved in the “Proposal Writing World” for the last 12 months and has learned a lot about this exciting industry.

How did you become involved
 with proposals?

Bill has entered the proposal market as a Business Development Manager for CORTAC Group, a consulting firm that specializes in helping its clients capture “Must Win” proposal opportunities.

Do you work in a “corporate office” or “home office” environment?

It has been great meeting new people and sharing the “CORTAC” story with prospective clients.  It is especially rewarding when we partner with clients and highlight their strengths to create a compelling proposal which results in a win!

What do you feel is the most challenging aspect of your job?

The most challenging aspect of the job for me is learning the new nomenclature of this industry.  Industry communicates through the use of acronyms and I have to really work at expanding my “acronym vocabulary”.

What is your method for successfully working with your proposal teams?

CORTAC Group’ s method for successfully supporting our clients is to integrate seamlessly with the team and fill in the gaps where needed.  We work to highlight strengths and mitigate the weekness.  Our clients enjoy a win rate of better than 90%!

Which type of proposals do you do most? Commercial or government?

CORTAC Group associates have experience successfully supporting our clients in both commercial and government pursuits, however, most of CORTAC Group’s experience has been supporting government acquisitions.
