Tanya Walker is a marketing professional with 13 years of experience in professional service marketing for the design and construction services industry. She currently serves as Proposal Process Manager and Geographic Operations Manager for the Northeast and Southeast geographies within the East Publications Services team at CH2M HILL. She holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame. In addition to her professional roles, Tanya also serves on the Board of Directors for the Black Alumni of Notre Dame.

Tanya began in proposal management, as one of several jobs she performed for a small audio/visual technology company.  During the course of her career, Tanya has served in many proposal management capacities, including as freelance marketing/technical writer for Atlanta-area architecture, construction and technology firms. Today, Tanya manages a team of 30 proposal managers, editors, graphic designers, and reproduction specialists, in addition to managing federal and municipal proposals for CH2M HILL.

Tanya recently returned to the Atlanta area, after working in the Northern Virginia/DC area for the past 3 years. She is a first time member to APMP, although she participated in several APMP events with the Washington, DC-area chapter. She manages her team from CH2M HILL’s Atlanta area office, where she enjoys the diversity of people and international projects supported from this location. Tanya counts working remotely with complex proposals teams among her jobs most challenging and fascinating aspects. She attributes the support of a talented team as critical to her ongoing success. As a best practice for working successfully with proposal teams, Tanya finds that respecting the contributions of each individual and making sure that everyone shares a common vision or goal and works in harmony with that vision is the best approach to achieving proposal success.
